Influence: The Spring Suit

There might still be snow on the ground most places, but signs of spring are everywhere at Indochino. Our new spring collection has officially launched, and two of our favorite menswear bloggers are wearing some of our new spring suits with their own signature style and swagger.

Meet the inimitable Adam Gallagher, whose 1 million-strong army of Instagram followers are hooked on his daily posts about menswear and the lifestyle he’s built around his passions. As well, allow us to introduce Isaac Hindin-Miller, a New Yorker by way of New Zealand whose personal style, star-studded exploits and relationship advice draw thousands of readers to his site daily.

We were curious about their approach to fashion and what was on their radar for spring, so we went ahead and asked.

What’s one thing you won’t be able to live without this spring?

New accessories. None in particular, I just find that I buy new sunnies and shoes for the warming weather.

What’s the best piece of style advice you’ve been given?

Take risks but be yourself. Before photographing any outfit I ask myself two things, “is it me?” And, “is it different/daring?”

How do you ‘do you’?

I do me by running my business, evolving my business, and proving to everyone that menswear is important. I receive a lot of input on how my business ‘should be’ but, at the end of the day, I like to be the one calling the shots and patting myself on the back.

What’s one thing you won’t be able to live without this spring?

Space—my parents are coming to stay with me in my apartment for an entire month this spring, so I’ll need plenty of breathing room to help keep us all sane.

What’s the best piece of style advice you’ve been given?

Develop a uniform. I always love people who you can recognize because they wear a variation of the same thing every day of the week. That’s the best style as far as I’m concerned.

How do you ‘do you’?

By trying not to take myself too seriously.
